New Betta!

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I got a new betta! She is blue and her name is Andrew.(Someone else named him, not me!) Well, I call her Do Do (Not doo doo, but doe doe) Because every betta I have had, I named it with an O at the end of it’s name. So sometimes I call her Andrew, or Andro, or Do Do. It’s kind of weird, but it’s a tradition!
But Andro seems so bored all the time. I try to move her around and put her in different places a lot. I also try to put her in places where there are a lot of people moving around and such, because I heard they like to be where there is action. This might sound weird, but are there ways to like, play with your betta fish? Make them less bored and more happy? I will take any suggestions I can get!

I am confused is your Betta a boy are a girl? The prettier ones are the males.

I have a boy betta fish. My voice teacher had a betta fish for 8 years? Because they are really only suppost to 2-3 years old. His name is Sun Fire because when i got him and got him out of the store he looked like he was on fire.

Well first you should make sure his living area is nice and that your using a variation of foods such as bloodworms raw or freeze dried pellets and any other beta prone food, they like alot of live stuff. Beta’s are playful fish by nature so if he’s not swimming around and stays in one spot its a warning sign somethings wrong.

i think a good way to play with your betta is to get a laser pointer. first get its attention, then point it at a solid thing. thats what i did w/ Duck. (and it toatally worked.) she was following the laser EVERYWHERE! it was funny.

The laser pointer idea was great! He loved playing
it made my day so much brighter!
