As all know bettas will feel more save if the environment of the tank is closed to the nature. What i have did for my wild catch bettas is, putting some almond leave & live plant to give more hiding place. Result is the fish color will be back to darker as first catch. but it would not works if it from is genetic it self. changing color is normal as from my experience bettas will change it color because, 1st. genetic it self if it was from wild breading & 2nd is because of the fish might be a little stress or due to environment.
