Well I got a few fish that go well with bettas and well they all where doing fine. Then I saw a few of the fish had ick so I put this medication that gets rid of it. Not only did it fail it ended up killing all of them with ick and the Rainbow……so well they are dead. The only fish left are two small fish. Well I believe when I GOT the fish they had ick because if I remember correctly one of them where just rubbing his body against the rocks. So I shall never buy from PetCo ever agine.

that sucks I always buy fish from petco. I just got mollys and one is pregnet so im expecting little mollys. Im sorry to hear about your fish thats sad

Yeah a lot of people say petco is good with fish but I have had a lot of problems with them in the past with my fish. Such as know they had the ick BEFORE I got them……tho I have not had on problem with petsmart. The new one tho has a lot more betta selection tho……so I will probably get a new betta from petco……….

Well I got my betta silver boy from petco but im going to start looking for more halfmoons at fish stores,you know that specailise with fish. Or I may breed silver boy when he gets older prob not though. and thats cheap who sells fish with ick? thats just dumb. but i always quaritine my new fish before putting them with others just in case.

ya theres a brand new petco by where i live so i go there every other weekend sense i got my snake (two years ago) I always get new stuff for silver boy along with slithers (my snake) stuff too

Thats weird because petco has great ick medecation it really `helped my betta.

Probably Petsmart…or this local store I found. I have Aloise had good Bettas from Petsmart.

I think all stores have good bettas and bad bettas. You just need to pick them out carefully.

I recently had a female betta get inflamed gills i bought ampicillin at petco put the medication in wake up the next morning and she was dead my little princess gone only had her for 5 months wierd thing a bout it was taht another female i had had the same symptoms and died my females live together so i always have an extra female incase one dies

i never go to petco i always go to petsmart for my fish and my dad goes there for food for my dog i go there with my mom for betta food ans stuff witch reminds me i got to bur more food!!! anyway once my two bettas layed eggs i was so happy i was ganna be able to RAISE a betta! but then i was in my room lisenting to music and i looked at my tank and saw them hatching i turned off the music i was so exited then they all ther babies and eggs sinks and die the male wasent doing ANYTHING i manadged to scoop four into a cup then THOSE died i even cried!!! i was just so mad! that was the WORST thing that EVER happened in my life! i DO NOT want a pepeat of that! MY MALE EVEN ATE A LIVE BABY AND EGGS!!! sniffle i was tragic my female was behingd the divider just slowl watching her babies sink and die off…….one bye one they tragicly died.

i always go to petsmart ive been buying bettas at petsmart my whole life and not one EVER had fin rot EVER and the ones i have now i perfect sugar the female and cinnomin the male
