maybe ur betta has wat they call the jumping gene. some betta has that and they change colors from time to time not do to sickness, stress, or age but jus their gene

My beta fish turned white last night, then a few hours later he kept trying to swim but ended up swiming sideways or layed sideways on the bottom of the tank :’( then he started to bleed out of his gills . He didnt seem to eat the past two days. Sadly splash died last night :”( 9/29/11

Turning white means your temps too high, quickly throw in some cold water to bring it down.

A Betta can turn white if there is to much ammonia in its tank, its loosing its colour due to its fins being burn by the ammonia. Mine had this problem when I first got it…

it turns grayish when it gets older
it also need sunlight if they dont get asmuch as they need they may die..

i hav a note for pplz who got a betta at petsmart it will die in one day !!! (note: do not cry over a fish it happens (alot) its the cycle of life.) hope ya like ur betta

mine turned white and it died on the spot i loved that fish she waz spechal but im getting a new betta the betta that died she would not eat and now l only hav one betta (crowntail betta)

I perform with these dogs and as far as animal behavior goes, I’m a solid believer in nurture and exercising. I have met Jack Russell Terriers that I wouldn’t go around again, but have for no reason had a poor experience with an American Staffordshire Terrier. If you are speaking about their owners- well, that’s a different story. People are animals as well, and we tend to every have our unique concepts about “moral concepts”.
