So sorry I haven’t written much. For the past 4 weeks I have been with out electricity. Really long story nothing to do with Beta’s. Needless to say I was quite worried about my Mickey because of his pump. At first things were sooting up a bit without the pump running, and he missed its bubbles. So I hooked up a bicycle pump to it and got some air moving a couple times a day. Then we hooked up battery power to his tank so that he can have his water moving and bubbles. It can’t run all the time but when I do run it, he has been one happy fish. Of course I’m keeping a eye on him while we are working through this situation.

most of my betta fish don’t have moving water, or and air pump. you fish will most likely be fine without it.
by the way, did you lose power because of a natural disaster?

I know he will be fine, but it keeps him happier and the water stays clearer with the circulation. No, I didn’t lose power due to a natural disaster just some dumb issues with the electric company

ok, cool. Just didn’t know if you got hit by a hurricane or something. I have been hit by plenty of hurricanes in my life living in FL.
