I just wanted to tell you that my betta fish Flo is doing great! She is making lots of bubble nests. Every time I come up to the tank she comes up to the edge and looks at me. It is so cute! Also, I will be getting my light in tomorrow, (If you didn’t read my other post, scroll down to Betta Fish Light) so tomorrow I will try to post if I like the light or not and how it works for me.

if flo is making a bubble nest its a floyd..lol .. if your beta has long fins and tail its a male not female.. all female betas have short fins and tails and the males make the bubble nests.

Not necessarily, some male Betta’s have short fins, I had a male betta get all his fins cut short, I couldn’t tell him apart from my four female Betta’s, other than the natural male behavior. Like making a bubble nest and flaring at his reflection. Or you could catagorize your Betta as an “it” My male Betta is named Sasha, but hes for breeding perposes, but once hes is a year old he’ll be an “It”. I don’t want to offend but it’s my opinion that some of the very short finned Plakad Betta, look like a female veil tail betta.
