Betta Profile: Delta

Deltas are characterized by sharp and crisp edges at the ends of the tail (sharpness is a critical factor for Deltas). If the tail is above 130° and lower than 180°, than the term to use is “Super Delta“. A betta is called a “Fantail” if the edges of the tail are rounded. Both the Super Delta and the Fantail are a subgroup of Deltas. These Bettas are much easier to breed than their more coveted brothers, the Halfmoons. Inbreeding is kept to a minimum and the chances of blowing out the tail are small. Some breeders represent their Super Deltas as Halfmoons, therefore, it is important to look for a reputable breeder.

Hi! (just wondering) What is a “King Betta” I saw one at my local Petco, they are MASSIVE!!!!!!! How do you “get” something like that??

I think ya get one when you breed a big male and a big female(do not get a small female and a big male, cuz the big male will eat the her).

Delta bettas are useally normal.

i think this is the betta i have but her tail is much smaller is this the same betta ???her tail and fins are much much smaller than this but she looks like this

I would check Petco, they ALWAYS have different types of bettas. But they aren’t as cheap as wal-mart’s bettas, thats where I always get my bettas from. I feel too sorry for them to just leave them. Carmichael was in a dirty tank, and Daemon, those idiots tried to feed his gold fish food!!!! Xx

I used to have a cute little delta male named Deluge. He had a light pink body with purple/blue fins. I now have a nice little mutt betta female named Shimmer.
