A Short Introduction To Betta Fish

The name ‘Betta’ refers to the Genus in which the Siamese Fighting Fish is classified by scientists. There are several different species of Bettas, though the one most often seen in the aquarium hobby is Betta splendens, the Siamese Fighting Fish.
All Bettas are tropical fish found in the warm and hot waters at lower altitudes in southeast Asia. In the wild they are often found in the slow moving waters of swamps and rice paddies where they have plentiful meaty foods, clean warm water, and plenty of hiding places. Bettas can be easy to care for, and if you provide them the conditions and care they need, they should live at least 3 years in captivity, though they can live longer!

I own two bettas, Carmichael (Car+Michael), I think he is a Multi colored betta, and Daemon (Day+me+on), I am not sure what type he is, I was thinking buttifly, but now I looked what one looked like up, I have my doubts.
Sadly Carmichael is really sick, he has fin rot and a posible baterial infection… Can’t treat them at the same time and Petco said treat the fin rot first.
I thought Daemon was getting sick, but turned out he didn’t like the big tank I had him in. Xx But luckily I got him a smaller tank today, and both Carmichael and Daemon love a gallon sized tank.
Both of my fish are so beautiful, I’ve owned bettas since I was in first grade. (Infact a betta named Grapes was my first pet I ever owned). I love love love bettas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D
Everyone cross your fingers that Carmichael will get better soon please!
